Back Home from India and Heading North
I arrived home from my two weeks in India on Friday, feeling mighty dirty and groggy from my twenty-six-or-so hours in airplanes and airports. Of course, the guy I really feel sorry for was the security official in Frankfurt who had to pat down my feet after taking my boots to be scanned. Seriously, there’s no kind of hazard pay that could make that job worth it, and they have to do every passenger who boards a flight to the US.
Laura surprised me at the airport, though — I was expecting to take a cab back to my office to pick up my car and drive myself home — so that was really nice.
After a quick rest day on Saturday, she and I hit the road Sunday for a road trip vacation. We stopped off in Boston to visit my brother and spent Monday touring around the city. Then headed north again on Tuesday after spending the morning out on Cape Ann.
Right now we’re in Freeport, Maine, and will be driving on up to Acadia today. Hopefully we’ll get another chance to get online and post some more pictures while we’re on the road. Until then we’re on moose lookout.
